MTBO America is a proud sponsor of the Dauntless Adventure Racing Team
MTBO America is very excited to be racing in the Soggy Bottom Boys 2010 Orienteering Rogaine and Land Nav Challenge in southern Virginia next week! Starting at 9am on February 27, 2010, orienteers will be racing 3, 6, or 12-hours throughout the Hampton Roads area in and around the Pipsico Scout Reservation in Spring Grove, Virginia. It’s not a pure MTBO race, but when it comes to American style mountain bike orienteering, its has close as it gets for now.
New Competition Rules for 2010
The International Orienteering Federation (IOF) is the final authority on all MTBO competition rules.
New Competition Rules for 2010 MTBO Events
The IOF Council has approved new Competition Rules for IOF Mountain Bike Orienteering Events effect 1 January 2010 and replace the July 2008 version. These rules cover the World MTB Orienteering Championships, World Cup, Junior World MTB Orienteering Championships, World Masters MTB Orienteering Championships, Regional MTB Orienteering Championships, and IOF World Ranking Events in MTB Orienteering.

Special Rules for 2010 World Cup
The MTBO 2010 World Cup will include 14 competitions.
The 2010 World Cup will consist of 10 individual and 4 relay competitions.
1) Program
– 23–25 April Round 1 in Hungary 3 individual competitions (sprint, middle, long)
– 02–06 June Round 2 in Poland 2 individual competitions (middle, long) 1 relay competition (mixed)
– 11–17 July Round 3 (WOC in Portugal) 3 individual competitions (sprint, middle, long) 1 relay competition (women) 1 relay competition (men)
– 18–20 Sept Round 4 in Italy 2 individual competitions (sprint, middle) 1 relay competition (mixed)
